Eat right, take melatonin, meditate, adjust your sleep cycles, face east and pray, do whatever.

You'll get jet lag.

It is worse coming home than it is going. Carolyn discovered Ambien (Zolpidem), a sleep inducer that she claims made the trip to China easy. She slept the whole way (all 17, or so hours), I didn't, but I was too nervous to sleep and was too in awe at the sights below. We flew over the top of the world and the view was sureal, to say the least.

The return trip wasn't a picnic. The flight was full, Emma didn't sleep a wink, neither did we. By the time our feet hit the ground in Atlanta we were exhausted. But, it didn't matter. We had Emma with us, we were home and we had just put logged some of the most amazing memories we'll ever have.

After a day or so of being home, you start to realize your internal clock is broken - big hand on restless and small hand on hungry - second hand stuck. Emma was messed up to. Carolyn's mother stayed with us for about a week and I don't think we could have made it without her.

Pretty soon we all adjusted and the trip started to become a blur. I take out our pictures on a regular basis just to make sure the memorys stay fresh. I miss China and the Chinese people. We're thankful that were able to bring one back with us!
