Both for Emma and for Camilla, getting the dossier together wasn't so much work for us. Our local agency, Lutheran Ministries of Georgia, took care of it. All we had to do was get our police report, fingerprints, employment letters and medical, they did the rest through International Adoption Consultants in Atlanta. They contacted our birth states and got certified copies of our birth certificates and got certified copies of our marriage license. All the certification and authentication work was done by them. We did have to get some things notarized, but our agency has a notary so that was convienient. Once the dossier was completed, LMG sent a copy to Holt International for translation and sent us a copy for our records.
